the fool on the hill

Not being known doesn’t stop the truth from being true.
– Richard Bach

I tend to believe in people’s inherent goodness, thinking most are doing the best they can to get through this life even though I know there are many who are brazenly intent on satisfying their own needs no matter the cost to others. So why is it that the moment I feel like a fool, I lose faith in myself rather than in the person who has been deceitful or untrustworthy?

You think so very deeply with your self portraits.

Beautiful picture and well written sentiment.
