Art Journal Challenge: Week #1

Why is so hard when it comes to writing the specifics about ourselves? Maybe because the things I’d write for this week’s entry are the surface descriptions, the one’s you’d need to know if you were looking for me in a crowded room of strangers…I’d be the tall one who wished she blended in a little more, probably standing uncomfortably quiet until I saw someone I recognized.

However, the harder question for me here is not “who am I?” but this: do we see ourselves as we really are or do we see ourselves as we want to be seen? I will leave my description to be written throughout the weeks of this challenge…and see what comes to the surface.
