Remember how much fun it was to get something cool in the mail?…the thrill of pulling something fabulous out of the mailbox reminds me of what it was like to reach deep into a cereal box and pull out the prize before my brother got to it! Yes, it’s a beautiful thing to find that aside from all the bills, holiday catalogues and massive amounts of junk mail, I’ve gotten some great mail…
I received these beautiful ATC’s (Artist Trading Cards) from the swaps I’ve participated in over the past month…I love Joleen’s nature-themed ATC’s; she’s got a great eye for pairing beautiful images with expressive color… I was lucky enough to swap with Heather Simpson Bluhm a few weeks ago; I love the positive sentiment on the floral card and the Asian themed card is wrapped with beaded wire…so cool (and check out her very cool on-line store Hannah Grey for unique and eclectic art supplies!).
The uber-talented Tim Burns created two fabulous works of art I couldn’t resist; take a look at his painting blog and you’ll see why I was so excited to trade with him.
The three cards I traded with Anke Humpert traveled all the way from Berlin, Germany. Her beautiful mixed media ATC’s are a wonderful combination of interesting layers and textures.
Thanks to each of these artists…I love my collection of unique and original art!
